Breakfast attendants

Job Description

Breakfast attendants play a crucial role in the hospitality sector by ensuring guests have a great start to their day. Ideal candidates for this role should possess prior experience in the food service industry, serving skills, and the capability to adhere to food-handling protocols for delivering top-quality food and service to guests. Holding a food handlers’ permit would be beneficial as well. 

Responsibilities

  •  Setting up, organizing, and dismantling the buffet
  • Keeping the buffet well-stocked with ample food during service
  • Engaging with guests by noting orders, addressing inquiries or issues, and tidying their dining space after they leave
  • Ensuring prompt fulfillment of customers' requirements to allow them to exit the dining area by the end of the meal service
  • Upholding cleanliness standards in the restaurant throughout the service, such as disinfecting surfaces, sweeping, and mopping floors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with prior experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a similar role
  • Familiarity with food safety and handling protocols
  • Physical capability to handle a demanding role, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Proficiency in working independently
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and maintain a positive attitude when interacting with colleagues and customers
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays when necessary.

Breakfast Host

Breakfast attendants are responsible for managing all aspects of the breakfast service in hotels or breakfast buffet restaurants. Their duties may involve preparing and setting up breakfast buffets, maintaining the buffet area, building relationships with guests, handling food and drink orders, collaborating with kitchen personnel, and tidying up after the service.
